So I finally got around to taking pictures of my Kaltz cosplay. This was taken after the costume contest at Yasumi (which we won best group in) we headed outside to take some pictures. Sadly, I didn't have too much patience with the heat so we didn't manage to get too many pictures.
This cosplay was acutally debuted at Metrocon, but I never took the time to take pictures of it. This is probably the most difficult and exspensive cosplay that I have ever done. It was so worth it though! Hopefully the rest of the group will be finishing their costumes soon so I won't be the only devil :'(
The costume is in three pieces: the pants, the coat, and the caplet. I made the everything out of this pvc vinyl stuff. It was hell to sew and hell to wear. All of the little blue strips and belts had to be measured and sewn together. For the belts I also had to add the eyelets and the buckles. I think there were a total of twelve belts in the entire costume. The wig I just had to do a bit of styling and cutting to get the bangs correct.
For the horns I used a styrofoam base that I cut and sanded to the approximate shape. I then coated it and plaster and sculpted the ridges. Once everything was dry I coated it in a couple layers of paint and this gloss stuff.
I would say that the costume took me about a month and a half to complete. However, its not entirely done since I am still working on the sword.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
